Cirencester Friendly is a specialist income protection provider and we’ve been protecting our Members for over 125 years! As a mutual we are owned by, and run for our Members - with no shareholders to answer to, this really means we put our customers first. Our staff are Members of the Society so have a vested interest in ensuring that we continue to provide award winning, innovative products and service to all of our clients. Our Values - Are to give our Members products that meet their needs and provide value for money, supported by a quality service that is delivered through professional and capable staff. We have been in existence since 1890 and firmly believe in acting prudently and dealing with our Members in a transparent way. We continually review everything we do in the light of experience. As a Member owned business we believe that not everything revolves around being the biggest financially or selling more business than anyone else but, about being able to deal with Members responsibly, with honesty and integrity. We aim for excellence in everything we do. If we get these things right, we know we will grow and prosper together.

125 Foundation

The 125 Foundation was launched to celebrate our mutual status and to mark our 125th milestone in 2015. By providing financial support, the 125 Foundation aims to give even greater support to our Members and to the causes they really care about, this includes staff! Each month we have a ‘Dress Down Friday’ and regularly hold ‘Charity Fundraising Days’ for the Society’s chosen charity of the year. The Chosen charity of 2017 is Cancer Research UK. Also, as Members of the Society, staff are encouraged to attend the Society’s Annual General Meeting in May.
