Cirencester Friendly awarded Gold Accreditation by Investors in People

Cirencester Friendly is thrilled to announce that Alan Waddington has been appointed as the new Director of Distribution from 05 December 2022. He will replace Andy Peters who has held the role of Interim Director of Distribution since November last year.

Alan has wealth of experience in this sector. Previously he was Director of Intermediary Distribution and Partnerships at OneFamily and has also worked at Guardian Financial Services, British Friendly and PruProtect (now Vitality). In his new role, Alan will continue to develop and implement the proactive distribution strategy, while enhancing brand awareness and product proposition. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, demonstrating Cirencester Friendly’s growth ambitions.

Alan said: “Cirencester is an important provider in the Income Protection market, who have the potential to play an even bigger role. I wanted to join the organisation to help make this become a reality. I also share their values which focus on the needs of advisers and Members, ensuring they receive the protection they need. There are some very exciting initiatives planned and this is a fantastic opportunity to help to grow the protection advice sector.”

The Friendly Society recently announced Andy Morris has been appointed as CEO, who took over from Paul Hudson after 25 years in the role.
